Just finishing off 'Lyric Pieces' design. Why does it always seem so difficult for me to finish something off? I keep finding things in need of fine tuning and adjustments... Wish I was able to just leave it alone, like the orange buckett, left behind on an evening beach!

Music in my ears
Just discovered 'My Song' on the shelf with old vinyls. Keith Jarrett, Jan Gabarek, Palle Danielsson, Jon Christensen. Timeless, my favourite is still 'Questar'. It's from 1978 (at least the record is). There are some versions on YouTube, but the 'old' sound just works for me - no pictures necessary. Can't avoid thinking of a recent excursion to Utrecht in this context though. We ended up having supper in a place called t'Oude Pothuis, where the menu was offered on old vinyls. Hence here are some pictures after all:
And opposite was a great record shop we visited the following day for a long browsing session:

Nearly Friday
Finding my way in virtual worlds again. So many possibilities that it's very challenging to make up my mind where to go. Looking at the title I've just decorated this blog with I'm nowhere near the 'seizing the day' approach. Just looking forward to a lazy weekend. Let's hope it'll be just that: lazy.

Winter light, and more music
Some winter light, which almost felt spring-like, caught last Sunday afternoon:
Oxford Jazz Masters Series (George Haslam, Steve Kershaw and Richard Leigh Harris) at the Burton Taylor Studio, with the Estonian duo Taavi Kerikmäe and Mart Soo (keyboards, theremin, monochord, guitars and electronics):

Winter music
This guy didn't give up playing, despite snow falling, cold air (and hands). Lots of shoppers walking past, in the last days before Christmas, in a small town, Niederrhein.

South Park - the day after bonfire night
Today's rain and wind made yesterday's sunshine seem even more special. Can't believe that the grey and dark time of year might have started now.
