Finding my way in virtual worlds again. So many possibilities that it's very challenging to make up my mind where to go. Looking at the title I've just decorated this blog with I'm nowhere near the 'seizing the day' approach. Just looking forward to a lazy weekend. Let's hope it'll be just that: lazy.

Winter light, and more music
Some winter light, which almost felt spring-like, caught last Sunday afternoon:
Oxford Jazz Masters Series (George Haslam, Steve Kershaw and Richard Leigh Harris) at the Burton Taylor Studio, with the Estonian duo Taavi Kerikmäe and Mart Soo (keyboards, theremin, monochord, guitars and electronics):

Winter music
This guy didn't give up playing, despite snow falling, cold air (and hands). Lots of shoppers walking past, in the last days before Christmas, in a small town, Niederrhein.

South Park - the day after bonfire night
Today's rain and wind made yesterday's sunshine seem even more special. Can't believe that the grey and dark time of year might have started now.

Yesterday
DEATH OF A BIKER
on the road
to Culham
was it just another one
of the cool fast gang
on two wheels,
mowed down
by two sets of four wheels?
Just another one
driving in the morning sun?
It was a teacher
on his way to school
to his class, not in any school.
In the European School
in Culham.
His class, waiting for him
to be late, as always.
Only this time, he was not late.
He was dead.
Not just another one.
He was a teacher.
Liked by many,
criticised by others.
(He was a teacher,
human after all)
Much missed by ALL of them
now and ever.
He will be remembered
for what he was.
Late, but ALWAYS THERE
for each of them and all.
